Meet the Principal

Mr. Melville has a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and a Master's in Education from Eastern Oregon University. He furthered his education at Grand Canyon University, where he received an Educational Administration degree.

He has been working for the Hermiston School District for eight years. He first started his career at the HSD, teaching math at the Middle School level. Then was Dean of Students at the High School and an Assistant Principal at Sandstone Middle School. 

A Message from Principal Melville:

"Our mission is to make the school a fun and safe student environment. Our jobs will be easier if students feel safe and enjoy the atmosphere. I love seeing smiling faces when they experience success. My ultimate goal is to reach one student who doesn't feel school is for them."

He is married to a wonderful woman named Amanda, and together they have three amazing daughters. His hobbies include being outside, woodwork and hunting.
