FBLA National Qualifiers Ben Dagley introduced Hermiston High School's FBLA national qualifiers, who earned top placements at state across events including computer applications, advanced accounting, data science, and more. The group will compete at nationals in San Antonio, Texas this summer. [Click here to watch]
FCCLA National Qualifiers Angie Treadwell introduced 15 FCCLA national qualifiers who competed in events ranging from job interview to sports nutrition. Hermiston also hosted the state FCCLA conference this year to strong reviews. The group travels to Washington, D.C. July 5–10 for nationals. [Click here to watch]
FFA National Qualifiers Advisor Ellery Jones recognized nine FFA students qualifying for nationals across three events — ag services proficiency, an agriscience research project, and an ag issues presentation. The team competes at nationals in October. [Click here to watch]
Track and Field Recognitions Coach Stephanie Miears recognized state-level HHS track and field athletes and their accomplishments this year. [Click here to watch]
Tennis Recognition Cate Doherty and Aspyn Inners were recognized for placing eighth at state, the latest achievement in a career that includes three state appearances and two MCC regional championships. [Click here to watch]
MCC Student Athletes of the Year The Board recognized Hayden Larson and Cate Doherty as Hermiston's MCC Student Athletes of the Year. [Click here to watch]
Student Television Network Recognition The Board recognized Armand Larive Middle School students who earned honors at the Student Television Network national competition, with a video shared highlighting their award-winning broadcast journalism work. [Click here to watch]

Financial Report Katie Saul announced the district's 20th consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The April financial report showed state fund payments slightly below projection due to spring corrections, with year-to-date expenditure savings of approximately $647,000 and a projected ending fund balance of 10%.
