We want to make you aware that an unplanned fire alarm occurred at Sandstone Middle School today. Out of an abundance of caution, all students and staff safely evacuated the building while the situation was assessed.
The cause of the alarm has been identified, and there is no danger to students or staff.
We appreciate the quick response of school staff and the Hermiston Fire Department and Hermiston Police Department for their partnership and support in ensuring the safety of our students.
